Desk95
A complete workspace. A familiar point of view.
The idea
A useful job.
A fitting screen.
Documents, project context and tasks should live close together. Desk95 connects them in one local workspace with a deliberate Windows 95 interface.
My contribution
I built Desk95 as an independent local-first application and packaged it in a native macOS shell. Its public release includes source, a signed and notarized Mac package and a documented recovery model.
Inside the project
- Rich-text pages, attachments and linked tasks.
- Project boards, list views, search and saved views.
- Workspace ZIP export, revisions and explicit save-recovery paths.
Public browser source and signed, notarized macOS release. Apple Silicon runtime was tested; physical Intel and macOS 14 qualification remain separate. The capture shows the bundled example workspace, not customer data.
